Once again, we spent part of the summer and fall at Cross Creek Campground Resort (CCCR) which is next to Alum Creek State Park near Delaware, Ohio. We stayed from August through November 9th, 2025, on the same site full time. We took car trips back home to Dayton, Ohio area occasionally to visit friends/relatives who live in the area.
Everyone who worked at the campground was still very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our stay, including our dog, Bella. Bella is a gentle soul and loves everyone who will pay attention to her, and they can tell because she wags her tail about a thousand miles an hour which causes her butt to wiggle wildly when she sees a person walking up to us. She turned 10 on June 25th this year, so she is up there in age. Once people start petting her, she doesn't want them to stop and will paw them to let them know.
The campground was bought out by Applebrook since we were here last. I can see quite a few improvements but also see some things that don't exist that were here the last time we stayed, like hanging flowers. Improvements include the new blacktop, seal coating, drains, and winter water faucets with electric heaters and foam around the pipes so they can stay open in the wintertime. They do have a few permanent residents on site, some of which help keep the campground running year-round.
There are a couple of cabins and park models that area available for rent as well as full hookups and tent sites. Visit their Facebook page and/or their website for more details/information if you are interested.
Below are a few pictures of the campground. Enjoy.
